What we know about The Estate Season 3

We have lift-off on a premiere date for Season 3 of The Estate with news on what to expect.

We were concerned it would never return – you know the SABC mos – but our worries were unfounded because it’s back on Monday 18 July, in its usual timeslot at 19h00. Fingers crossed of course!

The season picks up after Muzi Phakathwayo was believed to be dead at the end of Season 2 and it doesn’t seem as if he’s coming back because Sdumo Mtshali, who played him, isn’t credited in the returning cast list in the SABC’s press release.

But that could be a red herring to throw us off and he is actually returning so we can’t say for sure.

If you’ve missed the series so far and want to know about the scenario and themes, you’ll find everything you need to know by tapping here: The Estate TVSA Show Page

The action of Season 3 remains centered around the families and residents of the luxury Echelon Estate and those who live in the neighboring Thembalethu township.

Six new notable characters are going to be introduced, headlined by the Nobengela family.

They are:

Melisiwe and Noxolo Nobengela
Played by Dumisani Mbebe and Lerato Mvelase

Melisiwe is a businessman and political fixer associated with Castro Kamanga, the premiere of Gauteng – reprised by Aubrey Poo.

His wife Noxolo owns an interior design business.

They’ve relocated to Joziburg and Melisiwe’s going to work side-by-side with Castro when he faces growing protests by the Thembalethu Land Association outside the Echelon gates.

Things are going to turn dangerous for everyone involved.

Melisiwe and Noxolo have three children…

Mzolisi
Played by Anga Makubalo

Vukani
Played by Siya Xaba

Gcinekile
Played by Samke Makhoba

Also new: Mohau Kabi, played by Gen fave Moopi Mothibeli.

Mohau’s described as a smart Bachelor of Science engineering student.

Confirmed comeback cast and characters are:
Lorcia Cooper as Jo,
Jo-anne Reyneke as Lwandle,
Dineo Langa as Mmakwena,
Matli Mohapeloa as Lesiba,
Mpho Sibeko as Dumisani,
Zenokuhle Maseko as Sindi,
Jacques Blignaut as Martin,
Sparky Xulu as Siya,
Clementine Mosimane as Mmatshepo and,
Carla Claasen as Tessa

Lwandle has to carry the stress of Muzi’s misdeeds – she’s been burdered with his debt – and there’s drahma when Lesiba finds out about his wife Mmakwena’s betrayal.

Keep a lookout for more once the teasers are available.
